About Us
Dear Valued Customer,
Way back in 1935 our grandfather was working at the local mill doing all their painting work. During these difficult times he jumped at the chance to paint the owners home for extra money. One man’s dream of owning his own business was started when his first residential customer was satisfied. After that, he painted many homes and businesses in small towns in Vermont establishing today, one of the oldest family owned painting concerns in North America. The American tradition of quality craftsmanship exists today in our second and third generation of applicators and craftsmen. We continue to pride ourselves in upholding the principles of honesty, quality, and integrity in each project we undertake.
The Greeno families have been pioneers in the coatings industry, with many of the field applications as well as shop work becoming the bar by which others measure themselves. Our type of work is not learned in a trade school or college, however we feel blessed to now have many of our third and fourth generation people college educated. Our secrets have been passed down through the generations from one father to the next. Our work is diverse including private homeowners, mansions of the rich and famous, very large scale municipal projects, and industrial and commercial projects.
Our work can be seen in many walks of life including historical renovation work, the St. Petersburg-Honda Grand Prix, Indy Cars, Show cars, stock cars, yachts, aerospace coatings, fine woodwork, and the telecommunications industry. Coatings done here at our facility have been involved in new age technology in blast mitigation and cutting edge coatings to potentially protect our troops. Recently, I was honored to be involved in refinishing a chair for the former President of the United States.
Our mission goal is challenging ourselves for the pursuit of perfection. Our business goal is to provide the best woodworking and coatings workmanship available today. Our systems are on the cutting edge of technologies allowing our customers the best money can buy. We use only the finest products available providing the quality workmanship our customers have come to expect and that has been one of the reasons for our success. The pride and quality my grandfather instilled in this company 89 years ago rings true to this day. We are not willing to sacrifice quality to receive the acceptance of a job and are grateful to our forefathers for their vision and insight.
It has been and will always be the workmanship that sets us apart from our competitors. We have been blessed not to have to lower our standards to meet our competitor’s price. Most likely they cannot meet our standards which give us a
nice advantage for the folks that want the project done correctly. So there you have it and the choice is yours only. The question becomes how much quality you are willing to sacrifice for price. When you offer a high quality product all it truly means is you never have to apologize for the results. For me personally all that it means is I can look you in the eyes and say we have done the best job we are capable of. Success in business boils down to three basic and simple words, honesty, quality and integrity. That is the triangulation for success not only in our business but in all long standing businesses.
We honor our customers as we should because without our customers we simply cannot do the projects we love to work on. As you will see, we have a tremendous appreciation and respect for all of our customers small or large. In closing these are some challenging and exciting times in American business, and as a family business you will receive many years of experience, tradition and expertise. We are willing on every project we work on to give you our best each and every time. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
